About Coastal Bend Sports & Rehab LLC

Created in 2021, Coastal Bend Sports & Rehab LLC is an outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic intended to serve the community in Kingsville  and the surrounding areas.  The Clinician and owner of the clinic had the dream of developing a local spot for those needing physical therapy for common orthopedic and musculoskeletal ailments to recover quickly and even improve beyond baseline function where appropriate. Starting in one humble location that is not part of a larger franchise, our goal is to help patients get better one at a time because we believe that individualized care also requires individualized attention.

But it doesn't stop there! This clinic also seeks to help in the realms of injury prevention and wellness, where we offer movement assessments to help identify injury risk and address it before something happens. Movement assessments can also be used to help with those looking to improve performance and take their game to the next level as one on one training sessions beyond an initial screen!

Additional offerings also include wellness memberships for people looking to transition from a course of physical therapy, or to start an exercise regimen so they can come and use the equipment offered here during operating hours in a quiet and calm setting.

Last but not least are massage gun sessions that available to schedule to help people needing some time for self care, relaxation, and management of those pesky knots!

Eventually and occasionally, there may also be collaboration opportunities for wellness classes in small groups and/or informational workshops to educate the public on ways to help themselves for common musculoskeletal conditions.

Providing you with a quality clinician for the best care

Dr. Hope Castaneda PT, DPT, ATC, CES

Hope Castaneda is a South Texas native having been raised in Kingsville from pre-school to completing high school at H. M. King. She graduated in the top 10 of her class of 2010 among a competitive group of classmates. In high school, she was an avid competitor in various sports including tennis, soccer, and basketball, and was named the girl's tennis team MVP multiple years in high school. She also developed her interest for a career in the medical field helping as a student aid with the athletic training department that led her to the path she continues on today.

After high school she stayed close to home, attending Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and graduating with her Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training in 2014 as a Magna Cum Laude.

While applying to Physical Therapy programs, she worked at a local Outpatient Physical Therapy clinic in Corpus Christi until traveling all the way to El Paso for her PT program. In 2018 she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Texas at El Paso with a perfect 4.0 GPA as only 1 of 2 students to accomplish this feat out of 32 classmates in her class.

Then she returned toward the Corpus Christi area, passed her board licensing exam while still maintaining her Athletic Training Certification in good standing, and has worked as a Physical Therapist in other outpatient clinics in the Corpus Christi area.

She finally decided that it was time to try her hand at working on her own and what better place to start than where it all started! She looks forward to serving the community from a variety of age groups and ranges as she continues developing the skills she has been working on all this time!
